The weekend-long festivities started Friday night with a sleepover party for Sophie, Simran and Elizabeth

Chris made the cutest "sleepover birthday cake" using Twinkies for the bodies and marshmallows for the heads.

Then it was on to the craft project--always Grace's favorite activity. Each girl decorated a pillow slip with buttons and beads, then (amazingly) headed for bed!

Saturday morning after the girls left, Grandma and Grandpa came over and gave Grace a stylish sheepskin jacket. Just the thing for Seattle.

Sunday afternoon we had a big family party for Grace, Lillaine and Peter, all of whom had March birthdays. Garnet was fresh off the plane from Los Angeles the previous evening, but she scrubbed up well!

Monday, and the festivities finally drew to a close with some cupcakes in class.
