Fairy Canyon in Spring
May 2003
Since Grace was five we've had a tradition of riding our trailer bike the mile or so to Fairy Canyon, known to the rest of Seattle as Ravenna Park.

As we approach along Ravenna Boulevard we always ride past the "tree
seat".

Grace took this one.

From Cowan Park it's a long downhill run into the canyon.

Good fairy spotting conditions!

There's a big rock over the creek that we always stop at.

On top of the rock you're almost underneath the bridge over 20th Ave E.

A little further down is where the fairy spotting gets really good. We always
paddle in the creek near the bridge.

This time Grace decided to create some art in the creek, inspired by the Andy
Goldsworthy documentary Rivers and
Tides we saw recently.
Our tradition always ends by visiting Ben and Jerry's at University Village before puffing our way back up the canyon towards home.
